About NONTOX Project final event
On 10 November 2022, NONTOX held a final dissemination event. During this public dissemination event, NONTOX partners showcased the work performed along the entire duration of the project, highlighting achieved results and innovations.
Other leading projects funded by H2020 and Horizon Europe (European research and innovation programmes), and working in the plastic recycling sector also participated in the event. PLAST2bCLEANED and CREAToR reported about the results achieved during their researches and experimentation; while, new projects such as INCREACE and PRIMUS, presented their approach to increase the sustainability of plastic value chain.
INCREACE Project coordinator Gergana said the following: “As part of the EU Circular Economy Action Plan, the EC adopted the Strategy for Plastics in a Circular Economy in 2018. Accordingly, the share of recycled plastics in new products needs to be increased. Through different innovative and interdisciplinary solutions along the entire value chain, INCREACE and NONTOX are both seeking ways to deal with plastics waste, increase the share of recycled plastics in various products and thus contribute to the ambitious policy targets and requirements.”
