7.1 CE framework for effective plastics recycling

This deliverable describes a generic CE framework on effective plastics recycling, i.e. the role of recycling of plastics in a circular economy. This framework aims to demonstrate how and where (re)compounders, plastic converters, and OEMs can source waste plastic-derived materials (compounds and polymers) to increase the uptake of recycled content in their value added products by approaching recycled content from a (secondary) resources availability perspective (how to source secondary plastics?) rather than from a waste management perspective (what is the best way to treat plastic-containing waste?).

In the remainder of Work Package 7 (WP7), this generic framework will be operationalized for the 5 business
cases at the core of the INCREACE project (in Task 7.3), including how the quality is preserved over the
recycling value chain (in Task 7.2)
