INCREACE CRaSH COURSE SERIES: INTRODUCTION WEBINAR

The transition to a circular economy for plastics in Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) is gaining momentum. Last week, we lauched the INCREACE Crash Course Series where professionals, researchers, policymakers, and industry stakeholders now have a unique opportunity to deepen their knowledge and exchange insights on this pressing sustainability challenge.

Crash Course 11 September 2025

On 11 September, we successfully launched the first session of its Crash Course Series – a compact set of webinars designed to explore the full value chain of WEEE plastics. The introductory session set the stage for the coming weeks, highlighting why the circularity of WEEE plastics is essential for innovation, sustainability, and resource efficiency.

Over the coming months – September, October, and November – the Crash Course will spotlight four key aspects of the WEEE plastics value chain:

  • Sourcing – ensuring availability of high-quality materials

  • High-quality recycling – advancing technologies and processes

  • Product design – integrating circularity from the start

  • Policy & systemic challenges – creating enabling frameworks for change

Each session brings together experts from the INCREACE consortium, along with guest speakers from academia, industry, and policymaking. Participants can expect a dynamic mix of research findings, real-world case studies, and practical insights that inform and inspire action.
