6th GA Meeting at neste's headquarters

We recently held a very successful 6th General Assembly at Neste’s headquarters! As we enter the final third of the project, we are proud to reflect on the progress made and the collaborative spirit that drives us forward.

Key Takeaways

Over three days, partners engaged in dynamic discussions, fostering collaboration and innovative ideas to advance our shared goals. Here are some key takeaways from our recent gathering:

♻️ First prototype success: Our Business Case Cabka has produced first prototype using mechanically recycled materials from the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) fraction produced within INCREACE, achieving a significant milestone in our project. The prototype pallets successfully exhibited Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) properties, meeting our project’s goal of producing specialized applications with recycled WEEE plastics.

♻️ Innovative recycling achievements: We have successfully recycled various fractions from WEEE using advanced mechanical, solvent-based and chemical recycling technologies. These materials have been thoroughly characterized for properties, quality, and safety.

♻️ Pyrolysis trials with WEEE plastics: Another highlight was the tour at Neste’s pyrolysis laboratory where waste plastics from electronics are turned into high quality naphta for production of high-quality recycled plastics.

We will continue to push boundaries in increasing the uptake of recycled plastics in added-value products. A big thank you to all our partners for their dedication and expertise!
